I have made that mistake already. Here you fndet but a bibliography.
The stem of G. pedicellatum is longer (by Dörfelt). Both species are rare,
but G. ambiguum probably still less so. Both are part way into an affinity
group. Perhaps both are the same? The best way would be to send something
Mr Dörfelt.

Thanks for your advice. I don't think my specimen is like G. pedicellum, but I am not sure why you think G. pedicellum = G. campestre. For instance mine looks quite like the one at http://www.floreoleron.fr/fiche_champi_v2.php3?nom_genre=geastrum&nom_espece=campestre or the one at http://www.google.fr/images?q=geastrum+campestre&hl=fr&client=firefox-a&rlz=1R1GGGL_fr_.... By the way, the best book I have on earthstars is Courtecuisse; I am just searching on the internet to find out about them.

Would Herr Dörfelt be interested if I contacted him? If so, how could I do so?
