@Mattias. This is actually a very good idea! SCiO can do that, and we may develop such an application (or perhaps one of our developer-users?) It is so exiting to get these great ideas!

It would be awesome if this could be used for detecting edible / non-edible mushrooms. That would be much faster than searching through a large mushroom book for images, and then guessing if it could be a specific mushroom. Which brings me to an idea for an app. Is there going to be an app for detecting mushroom type and edible / not-edible information, among other useful information about the mushroom scanned?

@Mattias We want to clarify that the suggested application is not currently exist, and we haven't tested mushroom differentiation yet. Nevertheless we believe that such an application is feasible, as similar working applications do exist (for example: differentiations between similar fruits).

Könnte durchaus funktionieren.
